Dr. Beccy Heath

Senior Clinical Psychologist

Beccy is a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist with almost 20 years’ experience of working within the NHS. Beccy specialises in working with children, young people, families, and the systems surrounding them having worked in a range of services (including: CAMHS, specialist services for children who are ‘looked-after’ or adopted, paediatric services and perinatal services) and offers support for a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

Over the years, Beccy has received training in a number of therapeutic approaches and is able to work alongside families to identify which approach or psychological model might be most helpful to meet individual needs. The main psychological models that Beccy draws from include attachment and trauma-informed frameworks, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Systemic approaches. Beccy has also completed training in using Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for adults and is currently undertaking training to offer EMDR for young people too.

Alongside direct clinical work with families, Beccy has significant experience in offering consultation, supervision and training to other professionals. Beccy is a registered practitioner psychologist with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC), a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a member of the Association of Clinical Psychology (ACP-UK).
