Dr. Sally Martin

Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist

Dr Sally Martin is a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist working with young children and adults to improve their emotional wellbeing. She can help with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and trauma. Sally's specialist interest is attachment theory, perinatal and parent-infant psychology. She spent 11 years working in NHS perinatal and parent-infant mental health teams. She has extensive experience of working with attachment issues, loss, trauma, parenting difficulties and adjustment issues. Sally works with individuals and the wider family system.
She completed an undergraduate psychology degree from the University of Edinburgh and then a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from UCL. She is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Sally is trained in a variety of therapeutic models and interventions, including Circle of Security Parenting, Video Interaction Guidance, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). She integrates different therapies where necessary, depending on the client's circumstances, needs and preferences.
