Emotionally Based School Avoidance 

In this interview for a BBC programme on Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), Dr Weisberg explored what EBSA is, looks like and how it impacts children and their families. Dr Weisberg shared specialist insights into why children thrive when they’re given meaningful responsibility and how parents can support their child when they’re worried about attendance, anxiety and school avoidance. This story was covered on the national BBC Morning Live programme and as an article on the BBC website.

Grief and Loss

Dr Daniel Weisberg was featured on ITV news for his expert opinion on the importance of receiving appropriate psychological support following grief and loss. He explained the value of using different modalities with young children, such as drawing, role play, and toy figures, to help reveal anxieties and questions that they may not yet be able to express in words.
