Katie Paskin
Assistant Psychologist
Katie is an Assistant Psychologist at CAYP Psychology, supporting the clinical team who provide psychological assessment and support for children and young people with a range of neurodevelopmental, cognitive and learning needs. She is passionate about helping children and young people feel understood and ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.
Having initially established a career in business and people-focused roles, Katie made the decision to pursue her longstanding love of psychology and retrain as a psychologist. She graduate with a BSc Honours degree in Psychology in 2021, having completed her studies alongside her professional career and family commitments. In 2025, she further developed her understanding of therapeutic approaches by completing a Level 3 qualification in Counselling.
Prior to pursuing psychology, Katie qualified as an accountant and gained extensive professional experience across accounting, HR, health and safety, compliance and later IT management. These roles developed her strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, as well as her ability to work sensitively and effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
At CAYP Psychology, Katie supports the clinical psychologists with assessment processes, including administering and scoring screening measures, assisting with report writing and contributing to school-based visits. She also works collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to develop a fuller understanding of each child’s individual strengths, needs and experiences."
