Dr Aneela Pilkington is a Clinical Psychologist with 15 years of experience in working with children, young people and their families. After she qualified, Aneela worked for Children’s Psychological Services in Lancashire. Over the last eight years, she has worked therapeutically with children and families in private practise alongside working as an Expert Witness for the family courts. Her breadth of experience allows her to offer comprehensive assessment, formulation, and tailored interventions to support children young people and their families. Aneela has extensive experience in working with issues of culture. She delivers training on an array of topics including cultural competence and training to school staff/professionals on understanding psychological difficulties. She is highly experienced in working with foster carers and adopters as well as staff in residential placements. Aneela uses a range of models within her therapeutic work. She offers a systemic formulation and draws on principles from cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy and solution focused therapy.
