Neesha is a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist (PYL38735) who has supported children, young people and families since 2012 across a variety of settings, including inpatient and community mental health services. She currently works within an NHS specialist parent and infant relationship service, where she supports families from pregnancy until a child's fifth birthday. Neesha specialises in working with expectant parents and families with infants and young children, with a focus on the bond between caregiver and child. Using a relational and attachment-informed approach, she helps caregivers understand their child's emotions and behaviours and offers guidance with common early years challenges, including sleep, feeding and toileting. She recognises that this stage of life can feel overwhelming at times and aims to provide a warm, non-judgemental space that supports confident caregiving. Neesha completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Manchester in 2011, followed by a Master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology in 2012. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Bangor University in 2020. To support her work with infants and families, Neesha has completed additional training in Newborn Behaviour Observation (NBO), Video Interaction Guidance (VIG), the Parent Infant Interaction Observation Scale (PIIOS), the Incredible Years Baby and Preschool parent programmes and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). Neesha offers both remote appointments and in-person sessions at CAYP HQ in Whitefield, Manchester.
