Sophia Williams

Clinical Psychologist

Sophia is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked in mental health services across the NHS and private sector for 15 years. Prior to completing her doctorate, Sophia worked in CAMHs, child diabetes, adult community mental health, and sexual violence services. Sophia provided mental health support to adults and children in crisis following sexual violence, both acutely and historically. Sophia has focused on neurodiversity over the past five years, combining personal experience with professional knowledge and training to provide an adapted approach to assessment and intervention to suit the neurodiverse mind. Sophia completed her training to conduct autism and ADHD assessments in children, adolescents and adults, providing these over the past four years. Sophia strives to provide an individualised approach to assessing neurodiversity in a way that values the strengths and supports the challenges that come with having a unique and neurodivergent brain. Sophia understands the complexity of living through a neurodivergent lens and the increased experience of trauma that can accompany this, ensuring to consider this within her assessments. She completes autism, ADHD, cognitive, dyslexia, and dyscalculia assessments in children and young people. Sophia is based in North Wales and completes assessments in North Wales and Chester.
