Dr. Regan Bailey
Clinical Psychologist
Regan is a registered Clinical Psychologist with experience of working with children, adolescents, and their families across a range of NHS services, including Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Forensic CAMHS, Early Intervention in Psychosis, and Physical Health Settings. She has particularly expertise in working with young people presenting with complex emotional, behavioural, and relational difficulties, often within the context of trauma and neurodivergence.
Regan has a particular interest in supporting children and young people who experience anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation difficulties, self-criticism, trauma-related difficulties, attachment concerns, and emerging mental health difficulties such as psychosis. She is experienced in working systemically with families and carers, recognising the vital role relationships, context, and early life experiences play in young people’s emotional wellbeing. Her work often involves collaboration with parents, schools, social care, youth justice services, and wider professional networks to ensure care is holistic, coordinated, and developmentally appropriate.
Regan places high value on creating a compassionate, safe, non-judgemental therapeutic space where young people feel understood, respected, and empowered. She is attentive to power, identity, and lived experience, and adapts her approach to meet each young person’s unique needs.
Regan’s therapeutic approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Schema Therapy, and attachment- and systemic-based approaches.
Alongside her clinical work, Regan has strong experience in leadership, supervision and service development within the NHS, and remains passionate about delivering high-quality, ethical and compassionate psychological care for children and young people.
Regan can offer virtual appointments, as well as face-to-face appointments in Manchester
