Farah Amaioua
Neurodevelopmental Specialist Practitioner
Farah Amaioua is a neurodevelopmental specialist who focuses on diagnosing and supporting children and young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (BSc Hons) from St. Mary's University, London, a Master's degree in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (MSc) from University College London, and a Postgraduate Diploma in CYP-IAPT for ASD and Learning Disabilities (PGDip), also from University College London.
Farah is trained in gold-standard assessment tools for autism, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R). She is also skilled in delivering evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, trauma, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorders, as well as Narrative Exposure Therapy, Multi-Family Therapy, and Comprehensive Behavioural Treatment for Tics.
With experience working in NHS mental health services, Farah specialises in conducting diagnostic assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, and providing personalised support to children, young people, and their families. Passionate about her work, Farah is committed to helping families navigate the challenges associated with neurodevelopmental conditions and supporting the wellbeing and development of the children and young people she works with.
Farah is also a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), registration number: 398843.
