Holly is a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist working with children, young people, their families and the networks around them. She has worked in mental health for over ten years in a variety of settings including social care teams (with children in care), education settings (pupil referral unit), the private sector (inpatient and forensic secure settings) and in community care services (e.g. CAMHS). In addition to working privately, she currently works for West Sussex Local Authority with young people and their families providing consultation, assessment and therapeutic interventions. Holly completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Surrey in 2018. She has completed additional training in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Conditions (ADOS-2 & ADI-R) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She has further qualifications in Systemic and Family Therapy, At CAYP, Holly offers diagnostic assessments of neurodevelopmental differences (Autism and ADHD). Her neuroaffirmative assessments highlight a child’s strengths (in addition to their challenges) with the aim of reducing stigma and promoting a positive self-identity. She also completes cognitive assessments to better understand a child's learning profile. By conducting these assessments, it allows young people and their families to access to the right support and empowers families and education settings to make reasonable adjustments to support the child to thrive. Holly is registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist (PYL37593) and a member of the Association of Clinical Psychologists (ACP-UK).
